LP SKIN THERAPY – UNTIRED EYE CREAM
LP SKIN THERAPY – UNTIRED EYE CREAM (£35)
Now “they” say that we should start using an eye cream in our 20s to combat the signs of ageing later on. However, like with everything, everyone’s different. For example, my mum at almost 50 hasn’t got a wrinkle or dark circle anywhere near her eyes and has never used an eye cream. Let’s hope those genes have been passed down! Obviously, not everyone’s as fortunate as my mum and we encounter problems like wrinkles, crows feet, dark circles, dehydration or puffiness.
For me, it’s dark circles, so when I read about LP Skin Therapy Untired Eyes Cream I had to try it. The LP Skin Therapy range was established by Dr Linda Papadopoulos – you’ll know her better as the celebrity psychologist. I was a bit sceptical at first, as I wasn’t entirely sure what the link from psychologist to skin care founder was. However, Dr Linda’s range is based on the principles of psychodermatology – where stress levels affect the condition of the skin. So the unique ingredients help to relax the skin and, at the same time, the scent of lemons, oranges and pomegranate relax the mind.
Now for the science bit (like in the adverts)! The Untired Eye Cream is supposed to make eyes look brighter, rested and more youthful. It contains Alpha Glucose Hesperidin (to help reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes), Fiflow SC and Platinum Matrix Em (to help skin feel and look firmer) and Diamond Powder (to act as a colour corrector to immediately improve the dark circles). As far as I know, this eye cream can only be used on the contours underneath your eyes. I do tend to apply just on the brow bone, underneath the eye brow too – a little extra firming action can’t hurt!
My verdict: at first I was unsure about this eye cream and this was mainly due to the fact that there are tiny, tiny glitter particles in it. This is fine if you’re applying make-up over it, as you don’t notice them. All my doubts evaporated though as the eye cream really does brighten the eyes (which was a godsend after the lack of sleep last week) and more than anything I noticed how hydrated the eye area was (without feeling greasy). For this I could overlook the glitter particles – I even stopped noticing them.
